Thank God, I had my new fire extinguisher. I was strapping down a vehicle on 516 when I smelled smoke. Worried the car I was telling was about to catch fire and start looking around. I noticed a semi truck and trailer with orange flames coming out from underneath it. I grab my fire signature and ran over. He had a water can it was trying to put it out we used all of my fire extinguisher. It went out the back up. He had another one in the truck went out, then lit back up. I grabbed a shovel from my truck and started throwing dirt on it. The ground was so frozen. I could hardly get any good dirt to spread. We saw a couple city trucks pull up, asked for fire signatures they said hold on and then drove off. I saw a bus come off the freeway exit. I stopped him. He look like I was about to rob him lol but he had a fire extinguisher that third extinguisher was the one that got it out Saved that man’s truck. After we got the flames out, the fire department showed up roughly 2 minutes later. If we didn’t have that third extinguisher, I think the fire department would still have made it, but it was right next to the gas tank so you never know seconds, can make all the difference. Very glad I was there to help. He was a bit frantic. I would be too.
