ACTUAL RELEASE DATE: 05/23/2025
CURRENT STATUS: INACTIVE
On September 28, 2025, in the early morning hours, a burglary was discovered at the PTC World of Beverage, located at 1115 Crosstown Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered a large piece of concrete had been used to break the glass door and approximately $5000 worth of liquor was taken. The investigation revealed that, in approximately 60 seconds, two suspects in a dark colored sedan were able to arrive at the location, break in, commit the burglary, and escape in the vehicle.
After committing the burglary in Peachtree City, the suspects drove to the City of Milton, where another liquor store burglary was committed. Independent investigations from the City of Milton and Peachtree City merged to lead to the arrest of Mr. Aquarius Woodruff, 37 years old from Atlanta, GA, and Mr. Anthony Scott, 26 years old from Decatur, GA, for at least two liquor store burglaries in Milton and one burglary in Peachtree City. They both were charged with the following offenses:
OCGA 16-7-1 Burglary 2nd Deg. (F)
OCGA 16-7-23 Criminal Damage to Property (F)
OCGA 16-7-20 Possession of Tools of a Crime (F)
Interesting side note is that the liquor store burglary was almost identical to a previous burglary in Peachtree City in 2022. That investigation also led to the arrest of Mr. Aquarius Woodruff. He was subsequently convicted of that burglary and sentenced to prison. Mr. Woodruff was released from prison for the 2022 liquor store burglary just 4 months ago.
