The Box - Fargo

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of The Box’s longtime regulars, Dennis “Grandpa” Halldorson.

For many years, Grandpa was part of the daily fabric of The Box family. In fact, when our manager first started here 28 years ago, one of the only instructions given was: “Do whatever Grandpa asks.” That says everything about the place he held in all of our hearts.

He earned the nickname “Grandpa” the day he proudly walked in and announced, “I am a Grandpa,” and from that day forward, the name stuck.

Grandpa will be deeply missed by our staff, guests, and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Thank you for the many memories, laughs, and years of friendship.

Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
