Ch. Alderbrook Huzzar, a gray Miniature Poodle owned by Olga Hone Rogers, mother of Anne Rogers Clark. In 1950, Huzzar won eight groups. He also moonlighted as a runway model at New York fashion shows.

In 1997, Mrs. Clark recalled: “My mother was one of the earlier fanciers of both Poodles and English Cocker Spaniels. Of course, I was smitten with the world of dogs at a very early age and spent my growing years absorbing all that went on around my family’s house that had to do with the sport. Most kids raised in this atmosphere turn away from the sport, as it becomes overkill. Because I lived with my grandparents, and only did dogs on weekends and summers, I guess I escaped that malady.
