When a client told us they wanted a koi pond, we didn’t stop at designing a pond, we asked how it could become part of the architecture itself.

For this home, that idea became a koi-filled moat surrounding the front approach. While the result feels effortless, bringing it to life required extensive research into water quality, circulation, filtration, and creating an environment where the koi could truly thrive.

The best design challenges us to think beyond the expected. This project pushed us to learn, collaborate, and engineer something we had never done before and it makes the final result all the more satisfying.
