McKeldin Mall is the iconic heart of UMD — a vast green lawn stretching nearly 1,200 feet between the Administration Building and McKeldin Library. Known as the largest academic mall in the U.S., it’s framed by red-brick Georgian buildings and centered by the Olin Fountain and reflecting pool. Students gather here to study, relax, or celebrate, making it the true social and scenic centerpiece of campus life.
