Thank you to everyone who came out to my mini-golf tournament last weekend!
Always good to see constituents and especially exciting to get our families out -- political events don't have to be stuffy, they can be fun for the whole family.
If you weren't able to attend, don't worry, next year's mini-golf tournament will be here before you know it and there will be a few more family friendly events this year as well!

My statement regarding the Governor's veto of collective bargaining legislation:
05/12/2026
For far too long, Virginia treated su***de not just as a tragedy, but as a crime.
I was proud to sponsor the legislation finally removing this outdated and harmful law from the books. People struggling with mental health crises need compassion, treatment, and support - not stigma.
This article thoughtfully explores the complicated moral and ethical conversations around su***de, faith, and public policy. Our criminal justice system is not the right tool for addressing mental health emergencies and I am glad that the Governor and my colleagues in the General Assembly agree.
If this change helps even one person seek help without fear or shame, it was the right thing to do.
Virginia decriminalizes su***de. Some Catholics say this is complicated. A recently passed bill decriminalizing su***de in Virginia has been championed by many as overdue relief for families of those who have died by su***de, but it also raises questions from a Catholic ethical perspective.
