✨ Baby is two weeks old!
Thankful for all of my sweet clients for continuing to support my small business by purchasing product from me! I truly appreciate it! While we prepare for another industry shut down, I am continuing to quarantine for the sake of my family and new baby. While I’m on maternity leave I’ll be posting more education on lymphatic drainage, skincare, and spiritual healing. I have a few blog posts in the funnel! This pregnancy has challenged me to grow in ways that I would have never had the perspective to change. I’m excited to share what I’ve been working on with all of you!

Thank YOU to all of my long time clients for gifting me this short lived return to work before sweet baby Indie Rose arrives. I’ll be coming back once she is secure and settled, hoping for February so long as she is as healthy as my specialists are predicting!

When I’m at work I truly feel like I’m living my life’s purpose. I’ve spent so much one on one time with you all over the years, you’ve become much more than clients to me, some even like family. I appreciate everyone checking on us throughout this emotional pregnancy. The thoughtful messages and gifts have been so sweet. I can’t wait to share them with our squishy baby.

2020 has certainly thrown some unexpected curve balls. I’ve tried to use them to my advantage, strengthen my knowledge base and skill set. I am always here for your skincare questions and distance healing. Fascia Release

What is fascia? Superficial fascia is the layer of connective tissue right under the skin on the face. It acts as the support and infrastructure for your skin and is responsible for giving it lift and tone. It can also carry a lot of tension and adhesions that restrict circulation of blood and lymph.

To release fascia tension (which can show up as wrinkles, divots, and uneven texture), these are my personal favorite tools. The result is increased blood and lymph circulation to the skins surface feeding the skin for a healthy glow, and relaxed facial fascia for a more lifted and youthful appearance.

Why this is my favorite oil to use? Not only is this brand incredibly nourishing as a whole, this specific product contains a few key ingredients that are hard to find combined together. H**p seed oil is high in antioxidants and essential fatty acids, can help improve elasticity, balance sebum production, moisturize, soothe, calm and improve the appearance of skin tone and texture. H**p seed oil also helps combat sun damage by protecting skin from free radical damage—a leading cause of aging skin.

Immortal oil is a rare and precious skincare ingredient. It’s not only it’s rare availability that makes this oil so special but the many benefits it holds for your skin. This powerful oil is extremely healing, especially for scars and skin conditions such as acne while it’s regenerative properties reduce the appearance of fine lines and aid in cell renewal. It is even used on post-surgery wounds wounds to aid healing and reduce inflammation.

The tool I find myself reaching for most often is this beauty. It has versatility on all sides, is heavy so the amount of pressure I need to apply is minimal.

This method is proven time and time again to aid in healthy, even, youthful skin. The age old practice of Gua Sha allows the skin to age gracefully, as with anything in the body when it is fed proper nutrients and given attention. As a bonus, it just feels great. I find myself taking deep, stress releasing breaths, and I wake up with absolutely glowing skin.

When the world shifts, it calls for renewal. Renewed energy, attention, and for me a sense of quiet that you only get in moments where you have to catch your bearings because you find your feet in a place they have never been before.

I do believe that moving forward, nothing will be the same. The people who are struggling the most are the ones resisting the inevitable. I found myself there many times over the last few months. Where do we go from here? People are hurting. Mental and emotional health is declining. I watched my own grandmother deteriorate in isolation when her routine was taken from her, no friends, church, even going to the market was forbidden. She didn’t make it through the depression that comes in isolation.

As a healer my heart has been called to do more. How do you bring peace to a world that is bleeding out?

Be bigger than the instant hate that is the new social media, be brighter than the darkness that comes with confusion. Offer healing to those suffering, compassion to the haters, change does not happen with more of the same.

That being said I will be doing much more in my position as a spiritual counselor. As it is I’ve done more distance reiki in the last month than in the last year. Please always feel free to reach out to me as a lifeline.

Distance reiki will continue to be free for the next few months. One on one sessions are done at night before bed to ensure kids are safely sleeping and you are in a quiet, comfortable space.

My page may look a little different during this time as I pivot my focus away from things I cannot do, and toward things I am being called to.

Love at every level is deeply important to my identity. May we practice it, may we become it.

Life update for clients, friends, and clients that have become friends. I have been 100% MIA, COVID aside.

Life never quite happens the way we plan for it. You were hoped for, longed for, and now you are perfect just the way you are.

Indie has been diagnosed with Down Syndrome. It came up on my blood test, we moved forward with an amniocentesis, and after an agonizing month long wait, her diagnose was confirmed. I feel completely unprepared, but I have time. My genetics counselor asked if we still wanted you, how could I say no, how would I even think it. I already know you, I already love you, hear you, feel you. You are my daughter, and I will love you through your life’s journey. That is my promise. The world can be so unkind, that is my biggest worry. I pray that she doesn’t ever notice it.

It’s been hard to talk about her without tear filled eyes. People just assume pregnancy is a happy, exciting thing. For most it is, and for some it is full of worry, stress, and hopelessness. All while striving to maintain a healthy environment for baby to grow in. I take a lot of naps for her. If I shut off, she gets a break from all of the feelings. There is a lesson in all of this for me to learn, and I will find it.

Life in quarantine has been incredibly hard. My career was taken, it was my absolute passion, I miss it so much. My sweet grandmother has declined and now is in hospice care. And my babies health is compromised. I’ve been struggling with heartbreak, but I’m thankful for my people.

Onward and upward. Letting go of things I cannot change, finding joy in the small moments as they come, just trying to be ok.

We all jumped the gun on our excitement. State Board specifically says we are still not allowed to do facials, or waxing.
