DSCR Loans. How do these work and benefit Investor clients?
Investors are sometimes denied loans at the bank, due to an inability to show enough income on their tax returns, a high enough credit score, insufficient debt to income ratios, or other typical bank criteria. The DSCR loan, an acronym for “Debt Service Coverage Ratio”, does not rely on those factors, but rather the cash flow of the property. It is a make sense mortgage based on the income versus debt of the property, rather than the borrower’s income. A traditional mortgage loan will require a review of the borrower's income verification, tax returns, a very high credit score and debt ratios. DSCR Loans require none of these! This is ideal for real estate investors looking to leave behind the hassle, paperwork and headaches of conventional financing.
