While I was in London, we did the “Jack the Ripper walking tour”. If memory serves correct, just around the corner was the first murder. Why is the South end always the most dangerous in any city?

The details aren’t so fresh now that it’s been awhile, but from what I can recall from the tour, this was a typical Irish home “back in the day” and it’s missing it’s roof because the British would come and burn people’s houses down. History’s a little fuzzy feel free to add any corrections in the comments.
