Snow days are great. Back injuries… not so much.
Before you shovel, a few smart reminders: • Warm up first
• Push snow when you can
• Keep the shovel close to your body
• Bend at the hips and knees, not your back
• Avoid twisting
• Take breaks
Know when to stop:
Chest pain, dizziness, sharp back pain need to stop immediately.
Cold + exertion = higher injury risk
