Today, we pause in solemn gratitude to honour the brave women and men who fought for our freedom
and the feathered heroes who flew through fire to deliver it.

From the trenches of World War I to the resistance networks of World War II,
war pigeons played a vital role in saving lives.
These elite messengers soared across enemy lines, carrying critical communications when all other systems failed.
Their loyalty, speed, and instinct made them silent soldiers—unarmed, yet indispensable.

Among them were legends like “Cher Ami,” who flew 25 missions and saved an entire battalion,
and “G.I. Joe,” whose final flight prevented the bombing of Allied troops.
These pigeons were decorated with medals of valor, and their legacy lives on in every
racing loft that values precision, endurance, and heart.

We also honour the countless women and men who served with courage, sacrifice, and unwavering resolve. Their stories of resilience echo through generations, reminding us that freedom is never free
and that remembrance is our duty.
