Seal Check! The next day this is how I check my seals first. If you know you know! This is Husband Jam. Blueberry Fig with Vanilla bean and Bourbon. It’s called that because my husband one year said let’s mix them. We didn’t have enough for blueberry and not enough for fig jam. So I said give me a second to made up a recipe. We don’t have this for sale. It’s one of our giveaway jams. But I may bring it to our jam list next year.

Made these for a sweet friend. They are whole fresh figs in an extra light syrup. We do this for our peaches also. When you do this you can add spices and lemon slices as well. But I did not. The extra light syrup preserves the fruit but isn’t too sweet. So you taste the fruit rather than just the syrup. This is a great way to preserve fruit so you can enjoy it year round. I water canned these for 30 minutes.
