Solano County is hiring for an Employment/Eligibility Administrator

Providing Public Assistance and Employment Services to Solano County

The Employment and Eligibility Services Division within the Health & Social Services Department connects community members who qualify with food, health care, financial, employment, and other supportive services to promote healthy, safe, and stable lives. The division serves more than 1 in 3 county residents through programs including Medi-Cal, CalFresh, CalWORKs, and General Assistance.

This Employment/Eligibility Administrator position is primarily responsible for planning, organizing, and directing one or more major public Social Services programs through subordinate managers and supervisors, and assisting the Deputy Director in division administration. Examples of duties include but are not limited to:

- Supporting the Deputy Director in developing and implementing goals, strategies, policies, and procedures of the Employment and Eligibility Services Division (E&ES) of the Health & Social Services Department, which includes over 400 full-time employees (FTE) serving 1 in 3 county residents.

- Assisting with planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the delivery of public assistance programs serving eligible low-income Solano County residents, including CalWORKs, CalFresh, Medi-Cal, General Assistance, and various employment and housing programs.

- Overseeing program support functions such as hiring, training, clerical operations, reporting, contracts, CalSAWS, quality assurance, quality control and policy development.

- Supervising subordinate managers and collaborating with other divisions, departments, labor unions, and outside agencies to facilitate high quality service delivery in accordance with federal, state, and local policies and within approved budgets.

- Utilizing data to assess operational performance, including compliance with federal and state mandates, and overseeing corrective action plans designed to improve performance.

- Assisting with the identification and justification of budget needs, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local funding rules.

Solano County is hiring for Therapist (Senior)

The Therapist (Senior) provides lead supervision to Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist staff and administers physical or occupational therapy treatments; provides direct physical and/or occupational therapy services to patients on the basis of physician's prescription; consults with school personnel, parents, physicians and representatives of other agencies.

This position will oversee day to day operations and staff in CCS/MTU programs. The Therapist (Senior) will directly supervise the following program staff: Physical Therapists (1 FT, 1 EH), Occupational Therapists (1 FT, 1 EH), Medical Records Technician (1), and Account Clerks (2), will respond to State requests for information, complete program reports, assist with budget preparation and contracts, assist with program referrals/care coordination, ensure quality of care and adherence to MTU statewide program updates/guidance/policies. The position will also coordinate medical/DME clinics; serve as liaison/consultant to parents/vendors/school personnel/community agencies/public; and provide direct therapy evaluation/treatment/consultation to a small caseload.

To be eligible for this position you must have 2 years of full-time experience, or its equivalent, as a Physical Therapist. You must also be in possession of a valid license as a Registered Physical Therapist issued by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance. In addition, this position may require independent travel. Finally, selectees for employment must as a condition of employment sign a statement agreeing to comply with Section 11166 of the California Penal Code relating to child abuse reporting.
