Tweens and teens ages 10–18 are invited to the Dixon Library for Summer Smoothies for Teens, where we'll create tasty fruit and vegetable smoothies using fresh ingredients from local grocers.

Gun violence affects individuals, families, and communities across the country, including here in Solano County. This month, we honor those impacted, raise awareness, and reaffirm our commitment to prevention, early intervention, and access to mental health support.

Understanding Senate Bill 43 (SB 43)

California’s SB 43 updates how individuals with serious behavioral health needs may qualify for additional care and support.

This law expands the definition of “gravely disabled” to include:
• Severe substance use disorders
• Inability to maintain personal safety or necessary medical care
• Co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions

SB 43 is part of ongoing efforts to better support individuals experiencing complex behavioral health challenges.

Solano County Behavioral Health is working to implement these changes and continue providing services to our community.
