Good grades matter in the study abroad process. Although, a first/second class honors is not always mandatory. GPA is the very first impression a student makes and most programs use that as an initial filter. If you are still in school, do your best to excel.

Do not submit an admission application without understanding the program's focus. Universities are interested in students whose interests align with the university's focus and not just students with good grades.
