It occurred to me as I perused the documents, critical thinking is an under-appreciated skill, as is maintaining an awareness of our individual cognitive biases. Gather and evaluate facts, then form your own conclusions .. don't just echo what seems to be "popular opinion."
Our choices are simple: stand out by standing up for what you think or blend into the background and follow the herd. This is part of my planned content next week when I speak to students next week at WT Woodson about career choices and "adulting."
