Today, April 3rd, we honor National Fentanyl Bereaved Sibling Day. ๐Ÿ’œ
To the siblings carrying a loss that forever changed their world - we see you. We remember with you. We stand beside you.
Losing a sibling to fentanyl poisoning is a grief that often goes unseen, but it runs deep, in memories shared, inside jokes that echo, and milestones that feel incomplete. Every sibling carries a story, and every story deserves to be heard.
Today, we hold space for love, for remembrance, and for awareness.
We speak their names. We share their stories. We fight for change.

๐Ÿ’™ If you are a bereaved sibling, you
are not alone.
๐Ÿ’™ If you love someone who is
grieving, reach out today.
๐Ÿ’™ Together, we can turn heartbreak
into awareness and action.

If you or anyone you know is struggling, please reach out for help from family, friends, teachers, or The Daniel K. Wepryk Foundation. As a nonprofit organization, we will guide you to the resources that can help you navigate life during your difficult time.

Rememberโ€ฆ
๐Ÿค You are enough.
๐Ÿค You are never alone.
๐Ÿค You are loved.

A Hand From Heaven is committed to turning grief into purpose, raising awareness about fentanyl poisoning, supporting families, and fighting to prevent another life from being stolen too soon.

๐Ÿ’œ Say their name
๐Ÿ’œ Share their story
๐Ÿ’œ Help us spread awareness

Together, we can honor them by making a difference. ๐Ÿ’Ÿ

Just a post of remembrance...
Today, we pause to remember our son, Daniel Kyle Wepryk, and the many beloved family members and friends we've lost far too soon.

Our hearts and prayers are with everyone who is grieving or facing difficult times.
This past year has been a challenging one for many of our loved ones, and for that reason, we've made the difficult decision not to hold our Annual Daniel K. Wepryk Foundation Golf Outing.

To everyone who has reached out, participated, or supported our mission in memory of Danny since 2017, please know how deeply grateful we are for your kindness, encouragement, and continued support.

Here are a few quotes we hope bring a bit of comfort, understanding, and encouragement to anyone walking through grief or difficult times.

"Those we love never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they showed, the comfort they gave, and the love they brought into our lives."

"When you lose someone you love, you gain an angel you know."

"Be gentle with yourself. You're doing the best you can, and that's enough."

"Grief is just love with nowhere to go." โ€” Jamie Anderson

"Even on the hardest days, love never fades - it simply changes form."

Danny's light reminds us that even in loss, love endures, guiding us, comforting us, and giving us strength to keep going. Though we miss Danny and many others every day, we hold on to the love he/they left behind, a love we hope continues to reach and comfort others.

With love and gratitude,
The Daniel K. Wepryk Foundation ~ A Hand From Heaven ๐Ÿ’œ

Congratulations to Elaina Lefever from Downingtown West High School. She is the winner of the 2025 Daniel K. Wepryk Foundation scholarship. Elaina is pictured here with Jack DeCola. Elaina, thank you for showing COURAGE, STRENGTH and HOPE amongst your peers. These important 3 pillars represent the qualities that our son Danny lived by every day of his young life.

Good luck in College! We know your major of Communication Sciences & Disorders will help you continue to show your leadership skills, love of giving back, kindness and dedication to our community. Welcome to the DKW Family!

To the Class of 2025 & our community, take on things day by day. If you are overwhelmed and need any help, please reach out to us or your loved ones. You are not alone & the world is a better place with each one of you in it! You matterโ€ฆalways!

A special Congratulations to
Luke Kessler, the 2025 winner of The Daniel K. Wepryk Foundation Scholarship Award!

Luke is pictured here with his Mom, Jack & Giacomo DeCola.

This award is different from the other two scholarships where the DEHS lacrosse coaches choose the player who embodies the 3 important pillars of COURAGE, STRENGTH and HOPE amongst his peers. Evan was chosen by his coaches. As a young man in recovery, Danny relied on COURAGE, STRENGTH AND HOPE to get through each day.

Congratulations & Good luck to Luke!

As a foundation, we will have the COURAGE to talk about opioid addiction, the STRENGTH to help those in need and the HOPE that we can impact others in our community. Our goal is to be a resource for our community and provide financial assistance where needed.

To the Class of 2025, especially the fine young men on the Downingtown East High School Boyโ€™s Lacrosse team, & to our community, take it one day at a time. If you are ever overwhelmed and need any help, please reach out to us, your coaches, teachers, or your loved ones. You are never alone! You matterโ€ฆalways!

Sincerely, The Daniel K. Wepryk Foundation ๐Ÿ’œ
