Chester County Council, Scouting America
06/10/2026
Representatives from Chester County Council traveled to Harrisburg on Monday June 8th to attend the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Report on Scouting. Our council was proud to have the largest contingent in attendance, with Scouting representatives from communities across Chester County participating in the event.
The gathering highlighted the positive impact that Scouting continues to have on youth and families throughout Pennsylvania. Throughout the visit, our representatives shared stories of leadership development, service projects, and outdoor adventures taking place in our local units. They also advocated for the importance of Scouting as a program that helps prepare young people to become responsible and engaged citizens.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Senator Carolyn Comitta, who took time to meet with our group and discuss the value of Scouting in our communities. Senator Comitta expressed appreciation for the contributions that Scouts and volunteers make across Chester County. We are grateful for the opportunity to showcase the success of Scouting and strengthen relationships with our elected leaders.
