FULL SPEED | Reactive Change of Direction and Reactive Visualization ⠀
⠀
Reactive change of direction or oscillation is the most taxing movement in sport. Moving into the athletes weakest position with very aggressive changes of direction will result in more efficiency. ⠀
⠀
Reactive visualization is trained by giving the athlete small visual cues on where the opponent is moving and reacting as quickly as possible to that movement.
FULL SPEED | Eccentric Loaded Plyometrics and Sprint Training With Co-Contractions
🏃♀️
Eccentrically loaded plyometrics and decelerations are great for solidifying muscular patterns. If you practiced the patterns correctly you can optimize force production on the concentric in a fast manner.
🏃🏽♂️
Co-Contraction training for sprinting is ideally trained on non-uniformed surfaces like sand and natural areas. Co-Contractors are responsible for high speed stabilization so force can be produced.
Working with our Tonka Fusion Elite Program with strength speed and ACL injury prevention. Biggest focus with this training session was to have the players work on form mainly from the ground up. A toe up position upon ground contact is the most stable ankle position for a player. This stability travels up to knees and hips allowing them to increase stability as well.
