A note from Wayne...

Yikes!!
I got a call just this morning, one week from my Chicagoland 50th Anniversary concert. There was a mixup on hall bookings at the Des Plaines Elk's Lodge when the banquet manager left, and my show got bumped for a military banquet. I love our military, so at least I got bumped for a worthy cause. But I knew I had to find another location pronto! Fortunately, my very good friends Roger and Lisa, who were members at the Des Plaines Elks and got me there in the first place, are ALSO members of the Moose Lodge in Mount Prospect. So the show is now there, only about 10 minutes away from the Elks.

So it will be Moose instead of Elk!

Saturday, November 22nd

SOME SPECIAL NOTES!!!!

We were lucky to get this room on such short notice, but it's quite a bit smaller than the Elk's Lodge. That means there will be just a few walk-in seats available, if any. We're close to capacity from tickets already sold online, so if you're planning to come to the show, you should get your tickets NOW. Only 25 more advance tickets will be sold, and when those are gone, we're sold out.

Also, there will be no food served at the Moose Lodge, and seating will be theater style (no tables), the way it was in the old days at Rob Roy Country Club. This should make for a really nice, intimate and fun show. You can bring in your own snacks or sandwiches, etc., but there will be no tables to eat them on.

There will be a full cash bar.

As always, I'm looking forward to this epic night, and I feel incredibly lucky and blessed that I didn't either have to change the date or, even worse, cancel the big 50th celebration concert all together. PHEW!

My incredible year continues.

THIS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25TH, I'll be returning to The Little Bear Saloon in my hometown of Evergreen, just minutes from my house. It's a famous place, and a lot of big acts have performed there over the years, including Willie Nelson, Eric Burdon, The Platters, and many more. I used to play here a lot in years past, and I'm really excited to be back. I'm playing from 1:30-4:30 in the afternoon, so stop by!

Yes, 2025 has been amazing, and it's still going on. A grandson's wedding and my wife's big birthday in June, the best Ozark summer yet, the return of the Bucksnort, an amazing 50th wedding anniversary celebration in the mountains a week ago with our entire family of 19, the upcoming concert in Chicago, our actual 50th wedding anniversary in November, and, to top it off, grandbaby #11 due at Christmas. Wow! I think I'll take 2026 off. But then again, probably not. I'm having too much fun!

A note from Wayne...

It was a blast returning to the resurrected Bucksnort in August. It made me remember why I love playing at that place.

I'll be back there THIS SATURDAY NIGHT at 7:30.

They've been busily getting things back up and running. In August, the menu was somewhat limited but I'm sure they've added some things by now. The parking is a little dicey, and when the in close lots are full, you have to park along the road. Just make sure you park far enough to the side so other cars can get by. For anyone with walking issues, you can drop them off in front of the place and then go park the car.

There weren't a lot of problems when I was there in August.

As always with the Bucksnort, try to arrive early. Although it was a full house when I played there in August, there were still seats and tables available at 7 o'clock, and now that the summer is over, it shouldn't be quite so crazy.

Tickets are now on sale for my big 50th Anniversary Celebration Concert in Chicagoland. I'm REALLY looking forward to this one. In the summer of 1975, I started this whole performing adventure after graduating from college. Who would have thought I'd still be doing this after 50 years and over 7000 shows? The show is on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, November 22nd, at 6:30 PM at the Elks Lodge Banquet Hall in Des Plaines, Illinois, near where I started my career.
