Healing and Calming

According to a study done by the Rudd Center researchers, suggest that health consequences of obesity negatively impact the workforce. It is estimated that the overall cost nationally in loss of productivity because of obesity related absenteeism was estimated at $8.65 billion per year. This accounts for 93% of all absenteeism cost.
Understanding all the economic cost of obesity, including the loss of productivity, is important for management as well as the employees. The consequences of these costs pose increased cost to society because of higher production costs and a less competitive workforce.
