Chemical peel facial - what to expect.

Chemical peel is application of 1-5 layers of exfoliating acid for examples : mandelic acid, lactic acid, vitamin A peel, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, TCA, Jessie's peel or phenol acid.

These acids all make top skin layers dry and peel away within 1 week after treatment. The strength of each acid is different therefore the peel/dryness of the skin is also different.

Some of the acid are mild (mandelic acid, lactic acid, glycolic acid, salicylic acid), create light flaky skin like dry skin in winter time.

Some are medium in strength (vitaminA, TCA, Jessner), create noticeable larger skin peel.

The deep peel using phenol acid will create the deepest layer of skin to peel. This peel is only performed by doctors. The skin will peel away after several of weeks with doctor's supervision.

It is really important to keep skin hydrated to help with peeling and healing skin after a chemical peel facial. I would recomend to use toner, hyaluronic acid serum, brightening cream/lotion, healing oil vitamin E and finish with sun screen of 40-60 spf to protect new skin.

After every skin treatment, intake of high dose Vitamin C supplements or blend of skin nourishing vitamin supplement of your choice is highly recommended.

Expecting the results of brighter skin, less acne scars, less wrinkles, even skin tone that will bring back the confidence in you.
