Multilingual Connections
07/16/2026
Food safety professionals from around the world are gathering in New Orleans for 2026 Annual Meeting, and language shouldn't be a barrier to the critical work happening in that room. 🌎
Our Business Development Director, Carlos Hevia, will be there exhibiting and connecting with attendees. If your organization works with multilingual audiences in research, compliance, or communication, come find him. We'd love to talk.

A perfectly normal workplace exchange in Brazil:
"Hey, can you hand me the pasta?"
Coworker returns with a briefcase.
Because in Brazil, pasta means briefcase. Or folder. It does not mean the thing you boil for dinner.
Nobody was fed. Lunch was not involved. Someone just needed their documents, and the whole interaction became a light existential crisis about what language even is.
This one feels personal to anyone who has ever confidently said something in another language and watched the other person's face go completely blank.
The beauty—and the danger—of language is that it's full of moments exactly like this.
Seemingly simple. Completely wrong. And sometimes, genuinely hilarious until it's your campaign, your contract, or your brand.
Multilingual Connections makes sure you always get the briefcase you asked for. And the pasta. Separately. 📁🍝
