Hope for Homes Day is a statewide day of giving that brings together more than 30 Illinois nonprofits with one shared purpose: ensuring everyone has a safe place to call home.

This year, the day carries even greater urgency.

Federal funding changes threaten the future of local fair housing organizations like Open Communities that help people facing housing discrimination, educate communities about their rights, and provide housing counseling that helps families find and keep stable housing.
