Hyde Park townhomes were honored with a 2026 Chicago Landmark Award for Preservation Excellence.

“Often, new construction proposals in landmark districts imitate historic design elements, but this design is highly contemporary. It references historic materials and proportions found within the district but does not pretend to be a historic building. The design is simple, with modest soldier course banding where traditionally there may have been limestone string courses. The building is topped with an Indiana limestone cornice, matching the windowsills and raised ground floor base. As a forward-looking project surrounded by Chicago buildings, the project demonstrates how landmark districts can be as much about the future as the past.”
