We give them a safe space for the sport — but more importantly, we teach them how to protect themselves and carry strength into their everyday lives.
Freedom Ring exists because we’ve seen what happens when a young person finally has someone who won’t give up on them.
We are building fighters for life — young people who know their worth, stand up for themselves, and walk through the world with confidence.

The Freedom Ring is proud to partner with Northwest Martial Arts Academy to provide MMA scholarships for youth in Eugene who may not otherwise have access to training.
Our mission is simple: give kids discipline, confidence, structure, and a fighting chance—inside the gym and beyond it.

The Freedom Ring partners with MMA gyms to provide free self-defense and MMA training to low-income youth ages 8–17.
This isn’t just about learning to fight — it’s about confidence, discipline, boundaries, and safety.
We give youth the tools to trust themselves, protect themselves, and grow stronger in body and mind.
MMA training has been shown to improve self-confidence, self-control, and self-esteem — helping kids stand taller both on and off the mat.
