We are beyond thrilled to announce that we are finalists for this year's Will Eisner Spirit of Comics Retailer Award--one of only five shops chosen from all around the world! The final winner will be announced at the Eisner Awards Ceremony at San Diego Comic Con on July 24th.

We believe that comics can change the world--they can open our eyes to the world around us, connect us to others, unlock our imaginations. We work really, really hard at making the store an ambassador for the medium we hold so dear--so much attention and detail and thought goes in to making the store welcoming, interesting, easy to navigate--a place that's worth visiting again and again. It feels so wonderful that our community nominated us in the first place, and that the panel of judges also felt like we deserved recognition for our work.

Rather than wait until any announcement of whether we win--and anyway, I know and love the other finalists, and would be happy to lose to any of them!--I wanted to give a little "thank you" speech now. Why wait?

Thanks to my team, Jack and Rhae. This has always been a team effort, and you are the very best team. And thanks to everyone who's been part of the Books With Pictures Eugene team, especially Finlay, Kam, and Raefe.

Thanks to our community partners--with your help, we're able to reach new heights every time. Special shoutout to the Comics & Cartoon Studies Program at the University of Oregon and the Eugene Public Library.

Thanks to the extended BWPEUG family; we love and appreciate you so much more than we can say. To our regulars who make us smile every week. To everyone who's brought a friend or family to show off the store. To every artist and creator who's visited us. Small business is not easy; small retail businesses based on print media are even harder. But you all make it so worth it, every step of the way.

Cartoonists Club Comics Camp is BACK starting next week! This year, we're added a bit more structure, and made each camp every day for a whole week! At the end of the week, your kiddo will have made at least one mini-comic of their very own to share with friends, and even sell at the store!

For kids aged 7-12
10am - 12pm Monday through Friday
Limited to 6 seats per week
Price is per kid, for the whole week
Two sessions available--(each session has the same curriculum)
