Bright Star Massage

Hey Y'all- I'm allergic to paint. It's more than a coincidence- This is the 4th time in my life that I've noticed a correlation between interior paint and incapacitating nausea. It's cool- I just have to lie really still in a dark room for a few hours and then I'm good to work again. I'm giving up my downtown office and bringing my massage therapy practice back to a previous location. So I'm trying to spruce it up and make it look nicer. I've been using the space for an art studio and it's kind of grungy. The downtown office is more professional and easier to market but the expenses are really high. I can't float that office for an indeterminate amount of time when I don't even know how viable the market will be when things "get back to normal." Will things ever really get back to normal? What does that even mean? I didn't expect this and it's not ideal but I feel very lucky that I have this option as a back-up plan. So... Cheers to my new office.

Sh*ts real. March was slow for my business and I temporarily closed down around March 10th or so. I don’t know when I’ll be able to work again. Even when I am able to work again, I think people will be so economically wounded that they will not prioritize massage. I just made the difficult decision to give up my massage therapy office. I still owe people massages who have outstanding gift certificates. So I am renovating my art studio and making a space to see clients there. I used to have my practice there and clients liked it. I will just have to give up making art, I guess? No big deal.
