Eugene Dive Club

Join us Tuesday December 9 for our annual Holiday party at Putters. This is the second Tuesday of the month. Putters is on Hwy99 south of Beltline.

We have the room from 6-8p and the club is providing pizza and soda. Alcohol and salads are available on your dime. Pizzas will begin arriving at 615p. Last year you all consumed 11 pizzas!

Laser Tag will happen around 7p, and mini golf and pool as well. The club will pay for these for your enjoyment. Or you can hang out and watch tv and chat with your dive buddies.

We'll have two raffles - one for membership renewals, and another regular raffle with spiffed up prizes. If you recently renewed your membership into 2026, you'll automatically be entered in the renewal drawing!

Club member Kris Stenshoel has been a key player in the Trailbridge Reservoir project to improve fish habitat. He and his colleagues will bring us up to date on the progress and when we might be able to dive there again.

We'll also preview the upcoming Blue River dive Ed is hosting on July 14, and Rick has some great tips too!

Carolyn Caporusso from Clean Coast Bonaire will join us on Zoom to tell us about her work focused on cleaning microplastics from the coast. Rick met her last time he was down there and was impressed with her effort and dedication. It's an issue that affects all of us and should be an interesting discussion.

Andrew will also talk about tides and how to determine a good dive time. What website do you use? How close is the station to the dive site? What's the flood and ebb rate? All good things to have figured out before you get in the water!

And we have some cool raffle prizes too!
