On the way back to Oregon with our precious cargo!

These sweeties have endured the unthinkable and will require a lot of patience and support. Although they are young adults, they're the equivalent of young puppies in terms of basic life experiences like potty training, wearing a collar, walking on a leash, etc. We're looking forward to seeing them blossom and learn to trust and feel safe after we settle them into foster homes.

CCR has been working behind the scenes with our friends at NorCal Collie Rescue, Southland Collie Rescue, Western Canada Collie Rescue ( ) and Southwest Collie/Sheltie Rescue to respond to a hoarding case that originated in Elko, Nevada. After more emails, calls, and texts than any of us can count, we are proud to announce that all 28 collies from this case are in the process of being transferred to our rescues. Huge thanks to Alyssa and the team at the Elko Animal Shelter for partnering with us and for all your hard work to care for these collies after they were seized!

CCR picked up these two darling puppies yesterday, and we have a second transport scheduled this weekend to pick up three young adults.

All five collies will be in an evaluation period before becoming available for adoption, and will be receiving additional veterinary care and support to prepare them for their new homes. We will update our website when they are available for adoption.

Donations to support their care are greatly appreciated and can be made via our website, or mailed to PO Box 51141, Eugene, OR, 97405. Any little bit helps!

Interested adopters can apply via our website: www.cascadecollierescue.org/adopt As always, we'll review recent applications already on file when we're ready to place these collies.

Watch our site and social media for updates, and thanks for your support!

Update 2/19: foster secured. See new post for details.

‼️Foster needed for Cooper and Dazzle ASAP. They are both currently in the shelter at Saving Grace Humane Society in Roseburg. Cooper (blue merle) is a 6 y/o neutered male. Dazzle (tricolor) is a 5 y/o spayed female. Both have medical needs. They were surrendered to the shelter when their owner passed away. We are hoping to keep them together. The shelter staff described them both as sweet, quiet and a bit shy/reserved. They have lived with other dogs and cats, but we have no other history at this time. We will arrange transport as soon as we have a foster confirmed.

If you are interested in fostering, please fill out our foster application at https://www.cascadecollierescue.org/foster
