Technically Millennial Support

It lives. Just got a new motherboard installed so she finally powers on 🫠 I swear this computer hates me since I changed out its brain a couple months ago. I finally had it working and updating again and then she did this nonsense.

Thought I would start posting some of my hardware repairs. I’ve done quite a few battery replacements on MacBooks but this one is pretty far gone. Any time you have an internal battery and you notice your device is no longer flat where it used to be you should take it in asap or you risk it exploding and starting a fire. We use batteries with lithium in them in our electronics and lithium when exposed to oxygen has a pretty lively reaction you don’t want anywhere near you. These MacBook batteries have some heavy adhesive on them so they don’t move around so I need to be pretty delicate with this removal. 😳

It’s been a while! So what am I up to? I’ve done a couple of odd jobs for folks and I’m doing invoicing and stuff for a good friend. I’m reteaching myself html, css and java. Why you ask? Because it’s fun and so I can start building websites from scratch for folks around here. I’ve a much more solid understanding of marketing and what goes into it after my work at VEP. Some of the websites for businesses here in town are a little rough around the edges. You know who you are 😉
