✅Remember this…wherever the reward comes from dictates the puppies behavior. ✅✅The secret was I rewarded at the floor. To the puppy the reward comes from the floor so they do not jump up for it, because the reward is not there. ➡️➡️To first teach, use a gate as I did, then you simply approach, if they jump you look away or say nothing. As soon as they sit or back away drop the treat on the floor so they eat it from the floor. ➡️As they begin to understand do what you can to encourage them to jump on the gate or you. ➡️➡️At the end I handed them the reward when I encouraged them to jump on me, not the gate. Then I wanted them to know the reward came from me. ✅Counter surfing is the same. Do just like this with the counter. Then when they get down walk a few steps away from the counter and reward at the floor. ✅Let me be your guide to how puppies learn!
