We trimmed a Strawberry Tree in Eincinitas CA.

Strawberry trees must be one of the most beautiful trees in our area. The distinctive red bark sets them apart and gives them a special look. I like them too, because they have a nice round shape, and don't grow too massive. This one is bigger than most.

Notice how in the "before trimming" pic, the tree looks rather heavy, overgrown, and congested. This is typical of trees needing a trim. And then notice that after trimming it is lighter, and has a nice round shape.

If you go to https://andys-treeservice.com/tree-trimming/, you can learn about our philosophy of trimming, and why you have to be careful in choosing a company to trim your trees. There is a gallery of before and after pics you will want to see about 1/2 way down.

When you are there, if you want to learn more, at the menu on the top, you can find further pics and analysis on the "Services" tab, such as "Tree Shaping and "Tree Thinning" for example.

We trimmed an Olive Tree in Rancho Bernardo

This Olive Tree had the unfortunate luck to have been topped, or headed back, on a moderate scale in the past. If you look at the "Before Trimming" photo, you can see a bunch of long whips, very skinny. That is the hallmark of a topped tree. They invariably have a bunch of "suckers" that grow back, and so look unnatural, as well as having a host of other problems.

Fortunately, we can often work our magic, even on these kinds of topped trees. You can see that the tree looks pretty good after it has been trimmed.

To learn more of our trimming methods, go here: https://andys-treeservice.com/tree-trimming/. At that page you can also see a gallery of before and after pics, about 1/2 way down.

We made a blog post about this issue with topping and what it does. It's good to read, if you thinking about hiring a tree company. Find it here: https://andys-treeservice.com/tree-trimming-technique/

What better way to find out what a company is like than reading what people say about them? Read our reviews here: (look for yellow stars at top): https://g.co/kgs/rqQHhSk

Trimming a Carrortwood tree in Escondido

You can see that sometimes these trees get to be quite crazy looking. This tree is a good example: way too wild, way too congested.

It takes a talent, fostered over many years, to trim it back correctly, trimming only so much, but not too much.

You may want to go to this page: https://andys-treeservice.com/tree-trimming/ There is a gallery of before and after pics there, about 1/2 way down, that you might like to see.

Check out this Crown Reduction we did on a sycamore tree.

The "crown" could be called a tree's shape. And you can see that this one was way out of control. Also, a tree should look natural when it is finished, just reduced and trimmed enough, but not hacked.
