Left Behind K-9 Rescue

LBK9 is currently accepting requests for reduced cost spay and neuter surgeries for local pets!
We have partnered with a group of local veterinary hospitals to help address the pet overpopulation crisis. This program is made possible by critical funds raised at Come Together two weeks ago and the generous vet partners. Together, we can increase spay and neuter accessibility for income-eligible families in our community and help control the pet population.
If you or someone you know is in need of this critical service, please fill out the form below or email us at [email protected]. We will provide more detailed information via email. Approved applicants will be scheduled for surgery at one of our partner clinics as soon as possible.

Then and now, a Tucker story!
We got a very heartwarming update today from Susie O'Gruntmeir on LBK9's very first rescue. We took Tucker, then known as "Tuff" in from a shelter in Kent in November, 2011. As you can see, he was malnourished and in rough shape. We took him in and helped him find Susie, who adopted him a month later.
Nearly 160 months later, Tucker is blind and deaf but has a fully functioning nose. He loves to nap and bask in the sun and has kept his survivor's spirit well into his old age. In a message to us, Susie said, "I can't imagine my life without Tucker and I'm grateful for the time I've had him."
Our hearts are warmed (and our eyes a little misted!) to hear our first alum is still doing so well nearly a decade and a half after we took him in. Thanks to Susie and all our incredible adopters for opening up their homes and hearts for rescues like Tucker!
