Steam Powered Giraffe

We wanted to give everyone one more update about our July 9th show at York Theatre in Vancouver, Canada.

Unfortunately we still don't have a definitive answer regarding Isabella's passport issue, so at this time the band is moving forward under the assumption that Isabella, who plays the robot character Rabbit, won't be able to attend the show in person.

This Vancouver show WILL NOT be cancelled. The Spine, Zer0, and our other 6 band members will perform a modified version of the show, with Isabella joining us remotely as Rabbit over live video during the performance AND during the VIP meet and greet. We tested our remote setup over the weekend and it's working great, so we should be good to go. We even managed to finagle a way for her to sing “Honeybee” despite the live video delay!

Isabella will still perform in person at our July 11th performance in Seattle and, as of now, at all other upcoming Steam Powered Giraffe shows, including our August 8th concert in Toronto.

If you'd prefer not to attend this modified show, refunds are available through The Cultch Box Office up until 4:00 PM PT Wednesday July 8th.

Refund requests can be made by emailing [email protected] or calling +1 604 251 1363. The box office is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 12 - 4 PM PT. Please note that The Cultch’s ticket service charge ($6.30 CAD per ticket) is non-refundable.

Important Update for our July 9 Vancouver Concert

We wanted to give everyone a heads up about a situation that may affect our July 9 show at York Theatre in Vancouver.

Isabella, who plays the robot character Rabbit, is currently dealing with a passport-related issue that MIGHT prevent her from traveling to Canada in time for the show. We’re working on a resolution and are hopeful she’ll be able to join the band on stage, but right now we can’t guarantee it.

If she is unable to travel, the Vancouver show WILL still go on and WILL NOT be cancelled. The Spine, Zer0, our musicians, and the rest of the cast will perform a modified version of the show. We also plan to have Isabella join us remotely as Rabbit over live video during the performance AND during the VIP meet and greet.

At this time, Isabella is still expected to attend the July 11 performance in Seattle and all other upcoming Steam Powered Giraffe shows, so no worries there!

We’ll update everyone as we get closer to the show with more news. Fingers crossed this gets sorted!

Refunds will be available through The Cultch Box Office up until the day before the show if you’d prefer not to attend. There’s no need to decide now though. We’ll keep everyone updated in the coming days so you’ll have more information before making your decision.
