Lemon Bay Conservancy

Plan on seeing LBC and a host of other local environmental vendors at World Ocean Day this Saturday, sponsored by Sarasota County. We will be located at Booth D, underneath the Main Tent. We will have several interactive activities including Vertical Oyster Gardens, build your own shark magnet, Lucky Duck game and more.

The World Ocean day event at North Jetty Park aligns with the internationally recognized World Ocean Day to celebrate the significance of our oceans and marine environments. This annual local event brings together families, ocean enthusiasts, and eco-conscious individuals who are eager to learn about and protect our beloved marine world.

Celebrate "30 Days Wild" month in June! Get outside to enjoy nature. A great way to do that locally is to explore the Lemon Creek Wildflower Preserve, located at 3120 Gasparilla Pines Boulevard, Englewood, FL 34224. The public is invited to volunteer, go birding and participate in guided walking tours. LBC is also hosting a kayak paddle tour on June 8 so be sure and sign up.
