A few weeks ago I asked a group of professional athletes a question:
“If your career ended today, what would you want to be known for?”

None of them mentioned stats.
Not championships.
Not awards.

They talked about their being.

Their leadership.
Their passion.
The way they show up for others.

It made me reflect on my own answer.

If my career ended today,
I wouldn’t be thinking about accomplishments.

I’d be thinking about moments like this.

Because long after the titles fade
and the seasons end…

being his dad is the legacy that matters most.
