Hi everyone! KRL CALENDAR UPDATE 🗓️ They’ve been ordered and I should have them in a few days. For anyone local I’ll dedicate next Friday to making sure everyone gets their calendars before Christmas! I’m hoping to get them all shipped that day too. We still have more than half of the calendars unspoken for, so if you missed our previous post they’re $25 with free shipping, but a lot of people at their own generosity have sent $30+ to help cover shipping and the purchase fees on Venmo/PayPal.

I had SO much fun making these for you all and I already know I want to do this again next year. I added a bunch of animal related dates like International Cat Day and Check the Chip Day, which has a reminder to update your microchips. Rescue is exhausting at times and quite frankly, life can be too. So, I also included fun holidays to make sure we take time for ourselves like Free Slurpee Day and National Bubble Bath Day.

I also added dates for things that I hope to be more present for in 2024. National Picnic Day to make sure I pack a fun lunch and get the family outside. There’s other dates like National Clean Your Room Day, Call Your Doctor Day, and Random Acts of Kindness Day. For me these are really important parts of self care, parts I’m not always great at making time for. To do lists have helped me a lot this year, and I hope these gentle nudges and reminders help me and you guys.

I’ve mentioned once before but lately I’ve been exploring spirituality and esoteric practices like astrology. I included astrologically important dates to help myself prepare ahead of time. All the new moon, full moon, and planet retrogrades are in here. If this isn’t something you’re interested in I totally understand and you can ignore those. But for anyone who is curious and wants to spend 2024 learning more, this can be a fun and interactive way for us to learn together.

These might seem out of place in a kitten calendar, but this felt like such a personal project and I shared so much of me in this calendar for you. My intention with including these is to go into the new year with awareness, intention, self care, and making time to enjoy more moments. I hope that beyond the cute photos this calendar will inspire you. I’ll make interactive posts throughout the year so we can discuss the things we have planned for the upcoming dates.
