I don’t believe any of my photos are “perfect”

But that’s never been the point. The point is to get out and experience the mountains, and if I’m lucky, translate some of that feeling of awe and curiosity through a lens.

There’s perfect moments though, where perfection is just a small, understated detail that feels big. Like the perfectly calm lake that makes a beautiful mirror of the mountain it frames. Or like the few minutes where the moon rises and perfectly nestles in the nook of a ridge.

Anyway these are a bunch of images I quite like. I hope you like em too. đŸ«¶

PS. Yes I realize the photo of me is holding a film camera but all of these in the set were shot on 5d mkIV

Hey Alexa
play “AWESOME MIX VOL. 2” đŸ€˜

Round 2 of rewinds from this year’s General Mountaineering Camp đŸ”ïž plus to view the entire landscape (and camp!) check out the mega-panorama-map starting on slide 3 👉

Still can’t believe this was already a month ago. Times has flown, I’m perpetually behind on editing (to be fair I’ve hardly been home 😬) and loving every moment I have to revisit these memories.

Hatteras Camp was one for the books. I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it, my sincere gratitude to all the lovely guests, our rad team of staff, the .ca guides and volunteer leads for making these camps possible and simply the best. More to come
until then enjoy this set of stunning views and epic humans.

Is my propaganda working? Have I convinced you to join next year’s GMC yet? 😉

📍Explored on the traditional territories of the Ktunaxa, SecwĂ©pemc, and Sinixt Peoples. With gratitude for the generations of knowledge and connection that have shaped these lands long before us.

Some peaceful moments in a few of my favourite places
many classics that most of you will recognize. Places I often return to with the same sense of awe and appreciation because they’re just so freaking stunning.

Shot on .film.photography Spotmatic with various and film stocks đŸ€˜

📍Photographed on the traditional territories of the Stoney Nakoda, Tsuut’ina, Ktunaxa, and SecwĂ©pemc Nations, and the unceded lands of the Siksikaitsitapi (Blackfoot Confederacy).
