🐾 Did you know that the Fourth of July has the highest percentage of pets that escape out of any other day of the year? 🐾
🇺🇸The 4th is a fun celebration for us, but can cause a lot of anxiety for our furry family members 🥲

Here are some tips that can help keep your pet safe
during those Fireworks 🎆:

🐾 Make sure your pet has identification tags on their collar.
🐾 Have a recent photo of your pet taken, so that this can be shared if your pet gets out.
🐾 If your pet is microchipped, make sure the information is current.
🐾 If you can, please keep your pets inside. If this isn’t an option, please make sure that your property is secure, or have a designated secure location for them to stay.
🐾 If your pet has anxiety medication prescribed by a vet, make sure directions are followed appropriately and meds are given enough time before the Fireworks begin!

-Side note: Please be mindful of foods that are given to your pet during this time.
We do not want to see your pet for pancreatitis on Monday! 👀

Dr. Brynden Andrews was raised in Como, Texas, and developed a passion for veterinary medicine at an early age. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in 2022 before receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2026.

Dr. Andrews lives in Greenville, Texas, with his two Golden Retrievers, Harper and Goose. His professional interests include small animal medicine, preventive care, and wellness medicine. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, high quality veterinary care and looks forward to building relationships with the families and pets of Rains County and the surrounding communities.
