Hix sources all of the objects she photographs from her fleamarket finds and various adventures through online shops. Working with a medium format camera and black and white film, Hix arranges her vignettes, processes them in a traditional darkroom on gelatin paper, then transforms the photographs into bright, hand-colored paintings.
