Alaska Cruise Day 3 Recap!

We survived the “high seas” and sailed effortlessly into Juneau, Alaska on Day 3.

I’m PRETTY SURE that Mother Nature felt bad because our day in Juneau was GORGEOUS.

Sunny. Warm. Shorts would worked!

Today we went hunting for whales. Thanks to my partnerships with local companies, we set sail on a small boat (19 max but there were only 10 of us) out into Auke Bay.

Our captain and guide were full of fantastic information - and we saw a baby humpback (well, “baby” was pretty big!). Of course their mother was right behind.

My favorite part were the Stellar Sea Lions! They put on quite a show for us and then followed us to our next whale adventure.

After our whale watching expedition, we headed back to Juneau and ran into a good friend of mine who happened to be in Juneau!

Family vacations can be tough sometimes with tired kids and grumpy parents but this day was perfect. It will be stored in my “core memories” until the end of my days.
