Spring is a time of renewal, reflection, and fresh beginnings. As many in our community observe Easter and Passover traditions, we’re grateful for the spirit of connection and togetherness this season brings.

For our quarterly employee spotlight, we're featuring one of our outstanding Energy Analysts. We interviewed Aleksander on his time thus far at Resource Energy. Thank you for all that you do!

"Hi everyone! I’m Aleksander. I was born in Trondheim, Norway, but have lived in the United States since I was a kid. I graduated from St. Petersburg College with a degree in Public Policy and Administration and spent several years working in local government in utilities before making the move to Resource Energy. I’ve now been with RES for almost two years and have really enjoyed the opportunity to continue learning and growing within the energy space while working alongside such a great team.

In addition to my role at RES, I have volunteered as a member of the Fort Collins Energy Board for the past year, which has been a rewarding way to stay involved in public service, contribute to local energy initiatives, and give back to the community.

Outside of work, I participate in a weekly bowling league and enjoy testing my knowledge at trivia nights. I enjoy reading, with mysteries and nonfiction being my favorites, and have been an active member of the RES book club since joining the company. I also have a strong passion for public design and try to advocate for better urban planning in my local community. I always delight in a night out on the town catching a concert, comedy show, movie, or theater performance. I love to travel and have been fortunate to visit around 20 countries so far; I’m always looking forward to the next trip!"

We love doing candy jar guessing games here at Resource Energy! For Valentine's Day, Katie Breen guessed the closest to the actual number of candies (only 3 off). Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Today, we wanted to take the time to highlight our Employee of the year for 2025. This award went to the well-deserving Erin Barclay, who is one of our outstanding Energy Managers. We would not be where we are today without you, Erin!

Erin truly embodies the spirit of our team. She approaches every day with kindness, professionalism, and a genuine smile that makes those around her feel welcomed and valued. Always polite and approachable, Erin is quick to offer guidance and support to anyone who needs it, never hesitating to lend a hand. What makes her especially remarkable is the care she takes to recognize and appreciate the people who support her along the way. Her positivity, generosity, and teamwork make a lasting impact. We are incredibly grateful for everything she brings to our workplace.
