Highlight of my day and probably year. I made a set of layered and inlay wood license plates to the Godfather of Making, . He posted on Patreon showing the plates and thanking me for them. How awesome. Jimmy is such a genuine person and a huge influence on my making as well as how to approach things like challenging projects or things in life.

A couple of new pieces I finished today. Had a blast making them. The flag is 11-3/4” x 6-7/8”. Inlay pattern. All laser cut, painted, then reassembled. I’ll be selling this one at in Elk Grove, CA in the Williamson Center on Elk Grove Blvd. Name signs are all custom made and about 17” wide max. Depending on the design. Also available through

Kid name sign test. 17” wide actually is quite a nice size. Had to try this and of course you use your own kid’s name, right?
