Our last and final podcast of Lit Chat: A Literary Review for the Woman’s Soul will be released on May 31, 2026, as we wrap up our Project SOAR events.

We invite you to tune in and follow Coffee and Conversation’s YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/?si=xZAKEl4evP96CKuB) to hear podcast host, Kionna Rowe, lead a discussion on Brainwashed: Challenging the Myth of Black Inferiority by Tom Burrell.

In this powerful book, Burrell speaks candidly about the brainwashing African Americans experienced in this country and how those damaging narratives have impacted mental health, identity, and self-worth across generations. But he doesn’t stop there. He not only exposes these harmful systems and messages, but also offers pathways toward healing, empowerment, restoration, and improved mental wellness.

It’s going to be a meaningful and thought-provoking review of this book, and we hope that you will join us.

Our bi-monthly women’s breakfast was a tremendous success, with 11 women coming together in fellowship and community. 💛

Our theme, Doing It Afraid, sparked powerful conversations about fear, courage, and moving forward even when we feel stuck. When women share their struggles and victories, it not only inspires others—it supports our mental health by reminding us we’re not alone.

There is strength, healing, and hope when women come together. We can’t wait to see you at our next women’s breakfast.
