Grass and round bales right nearby, but W seems to think stretching his neck for some yummy leaves would be better. A longhorn’s gonna do what a longhorn’s gonna do!

These two had me in a dither today. You’d think after multiple calf seasons I’d relinquish control and trust these mommas know exactly what they’re doing!

It never fails that at least once a birthing season I spend a day on and off walking around, driving around in the Ranger, trying to figure out where in the heck momma put the baby.

Today they’d gotten separated from the herd that was in the back pasture eating hay. Well I’ll be if this evening mom and babe didn’t stroll right into the back pasture together, ready to join the herd. And God said “Maria, it’s not your timing. It’s theirs and Mine.” These longhorns are always schooling me about one thing or another.
