Help us shape the future of the former El Sobrante Christian High School campus! Central Assembly of Richmond, California is applying for a US EPA grant to fund environmental cleanup that would support transforming the site into the Triangle Development District — a central community hub that will contain affordable housing with space for non-profits to operate and possibly a neighborhood grocery store to address the area’s food desert. The draft grant application and Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA) are available for public review at www.centralelsobrante.com, and comments can be emailed to [email protected] by January 14, 2026. You can also get the latest project update and provide feedback on the application and ABCA at the January 14th El Sobrante MAC meeting at 7 p.m. at the El Sobrante Library or online at www.tinyurl.com/CA-Richmond.
