This film is a classic epic of the American South and, despite criticism of its unrealistic depiction of slavery, is considered one of the greatest movies ever made. Gone with the Wind won ten Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress for Hattie McDaniel -- the first Oscar awarded to an African-American actor.
Fair warning: the film runs about four hours, so bring money for popcorn and prepare to spend the whole afternoon with us. You’ll be glad you did!

The Maltese Falcon is a classic film noir with an incredible cast led by Humphrey Bogart, and it was the directorial debut of the legendary John Huston. The film is based on a Dashiell Hammett featuring private detective Sam Spade. Three of the prop falcon statuettes still exist and are valued at over $1 million each -- far more than the $300k it cost to make the film.
