Hello my beautiful Hellions!

I know it's been a while since you heard from us, but we have not stopped working to get this sucker out the door and in front of your eyeballs! I am including with this update a piece of art created by our very own Cory Coffman & TJ Bowser, that explains pretty succinctly where we are. We have a TON of stuff happening as far as Premiere, Festival screenings, release of physical media and streaming. That said, we are not allowed to discuss any of these things because they are all contractual and we are not yet allowed to announce anything. And this is why you have not heard from us in a few months. Let me explain...

Most films that are crowd funded (especially ones that are Friday adjacent) end up being self-distributed. Not this one. We never intended for this movie to stay a mom & pop style release. We have always intended for this film to be something that the audience (not just our beloved Hellions), could get their hands on. To that end, we have been working tirelessly to bring this to the world through established distribution. And that takes time. A lot of time. But I said going into this, that the only way Bryan, Debra, Allie & I would produce this movie is if we made a REAL movie. A documentary that not only covered the making, distribution, reaction to and legacy of Jason Goes to Hell but did it in a way that is as professional as a documentary created by a studio. And we have really done that. Our brilliant director, Michael Felsher partnered with our equally visionary editor, Eric Beetner have crafted a remarkable movie for y'all with very little money. Now, I know what you're thinking, "the Indiegogo raised over 70K"! Uh-huh. And more than a third of that went to perks. Then more than half of what remained went to equipment rental and purchase. Then half of what remained went to sound and color. Folks, when I say the producers on this film have not made one penny, I'm not joking. Not a cent. And we've been working for 5 YEARS! Why, you ask? Because we love this movie and because we love all of you. That's no BS, folks. If you know me, and many of you do, you know how much I love y'all.

So here's the skinny...

We are in talks/contracts on all areas of distribution of the film. We are setting up our Premiere in conjunction with a Festival run to follow. The moment I'm allowed to give the news, trust me, I'll be shouting it from the rooftops. Until then, please continue to be patient with us. We are dancing as fast as we can.

Oh, and by the way, because all of us here at Skeleton Crew are so committed to the viability and importance of physical media, the BluRay of this sucker has two extra hours of bonus content! And I'm telling you, it's all really good stuff. So anyone smart enough to grab a disc of this baby is getting more than twice the JGTH juiciness than anyone else! Yeah, that's 4 hours of movie, y'all!

So yeah, this just happened!!! WTAF?! Secret Santa has won best picture in yet another incredible festival! This time it’s the fantastic fest, New Fear’s Day!!! All of us at Skeleton Crew could not be more proud and grateful for this beautiful honor. Christmas never ends!

Hey my beautiful ! This Thursday at 6pm EST, TJ Bowser and I will be hosting a live stream on Facebook and YouTube, answering all your questions about Hearts of Darkness: The Making Of The Final Friday. Yes! That means you can ask all those questions you’ve been just dying to know the answers to. Things like, “when is it coming out” and “when do I get my BluRay” and “Could you be more handsome”? (Spoiler: The answer to that last one is absolutely not unless I got access to the technology from the movie Face/Off). The video will stay up after we are finished and will be pinned to the top of the Jason Goes To Hell (The Final Fan Group) page until release day of the documentary.
